Story Summary

On August 8th, 1942, Mahatma Gandhi's "Quit India" speech lit a fire inside of Usha that could not be extinguished. Called to the freedom movement after Gandhi's arrest, Usha rallies together Printer, Babubhai, and fellow activists to start an unlicensed broadcast.

When thousands begin to tune in, Deputy Inspector Ferguson and Imperial Police begin to catch onto their transmission. Can Usha keep the fight for freedom afloat in the airwaves or will she face defeat?

About the Artist

Reshu Singh

India

Reshu Singh is an independent artist & illustrator based out of Delhi.

She studied Applied Art at College of Art, New Delhi and graduated in 2012.

For the next few years, she joined graphic design studio Turmeric Design where she worked on developing visual language and identity systems for various restaurants and hospitality brands.

Since 2016, she's been working solo, and in collaboration, on various art, comics and illustration projects.

She has a keen interest in drawing as mark-making, graphic narratives, moving and still image, writing, psychology, interaction of art, science, culture and environment.

C G Salamander is a writer, comic journalist, and editor who's been published in India and abroad. He’s worked as a commissioning editor, has managed projects for educational publishers, and currently splits his time between Chennai and the Netherlands.
